Lots and Lots of Family

Well the title of this post says it all.  We enjoyed a day full of family, family, fun and more family.

Our day started with a good old Grandma Senn recipe for pancakes.  Papa is famous for "name" pancakes. He writes your name in the pan and then pours the pancake mix over it.  Something fun that my dad has done for us since we were kids.  He never could quit get the letters right on Jeni, but he managed Paityn very well.

Next, Tucson.  Paityn was amazing for the car trip.  From my dad's it about 2 hours.  She entertained herself on the way down by unwrapping Papa Life Savers.  I say that as though it took most of the car ride because it did.  Papa would ask for one and then she would sneak one.  I happened to glance back and find her sneaking them.  When I took them back I was handed a long piece of paper.  She managed to do what I never could...unroll the Life Savers without breaking the paper.  I can't do this on an orange either. She ate all but two...Ok, so Papa helped a bit too.

Our Tucson trip started with lunch with cousin Kristen and her three kidos.  Carson, Morgan and Griffin were amazing and very entertaining.  By the time we left Carson was tickling Jen, harrassing Uncle Tom and wasn't any too excited to get in the car to leave. Morgan took quit a while to warm up but decided Uncle Tom was the one to love.  I was lucky enough to get a hug when we left.  Griffin...well, adorable isn't even the word for it.  It has been years since I saw Kristen, but with Facebook I am blessed to be able to stay up on the life of her and her wonderful family.  Wish we could of had more time, but very blessed that it worked out to see each other!

The next bit of Tucson time was Uncles and Aunts galore.  The last time Paityn was here she was too young to remember all this family.  She was a trooper and could even remember who everyone was by the time we left.  Dinner with yet another set of Uncle and Aunt and Grandma Shirley.  We had a great time catching up with everyone.

One other thing that was fun for Papa and Paityn was going to see Indian pottery out by where my Grandparents lived when I was growing up.  When we were kids you could walk around my grandparents yard and find pottery every couple of feet.  This is where Hohokom (spelling??)  Indians lived.  The area is now all marked off to preserve and not take any artifacts from, but it was neat for Papa to get to teach Paityn about this.

After another 2 hour ride home Paityn fell into bed and was out in NO time at all!
