We managed to finalize our packing, get the car loaded, run to the post office, run to fed ex, grab McDonald's and run to gymnastics. I think that the 45 minutes at gymnastics was the calm before the storm.
We left for the airport straight from gymnastics. We were so blessed with a very good drive to Denver. Probably about 10 miles south of Longmont Paityn started saying that her stomach hurt. Now, Paityn has had this same type of pain in her stomach before and is unfortunate to have inherited it from her Papa and her mom. We decided to stop and get her some water to sip to see if it would calm it down, which it sometimes does. After driving for a bit more it was clear that it wouldn't do what it normally did. So, children's pepto is the next step. We were blessed that all of these little stops were along our route towards the airport. Walmart, what traveling mom with a sick child isn't thankful for Walmart. As we drove the cart through the isles of the medicine section as fast as I could blink my eyes Paityn vomited. "Mom, I puked, but my belly feels better." It was one of those things where I was glad to be where we were. Some medication and a new pair of pajamas later we were back on our way to our travels.

We were so blessed with a calm flight. We left about 25 minutes late and arrived in Phoenix only 10 minutes late. Papa even moved the car right before we arrived so that we had very little distance to walk. After many hugs, we were on our way again. I believe the clock read 1:19 am when we walked in the door to Dad and Betty's house. The only reason I remember the time we finally rolled in to bed was because Miss P made a comment right as we turned out the lights. "Mom, its 2:03!"

Our day consisted of a breakfast of fruit loops, a good walk for Nana and I, Papa counting money with Paityn, Papa playing salon with Paityn's toes, Papa preparing to sew Paityns pants (yes, she waits until she gets to Papa to get all this stuff done...and not because I can't do it, but because Paityn has always believed Papa can fix anything), a golf cart ride to lunch with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Ferris and Aunt Barb, miniature golfing, lawn mowing, cartwheels, motorcycle rides, homemade eclairs, bar-b-que ribs and relaxing to Frasier. I think that pictures do it much more justice then the words.... ENJOY!
