I think that is fair to say that God gives each of us a story to tell. Someday that story might be the one that changes someone else's life. Well, today I was made aware that not only do we each have a story, but so do our animals.
For those who are not aware our wonderful little dog, Bandit, is a rescue from the Humane Society that was a burn victim. He came from Sante Fe, New Mexico, so that he could be treated for his burn. We were never one bit swayed by this. We love him so very much, even with his little scarred back.
Today Paityn and I ventured to the Humane Society again on the mission to find an older male cat that could be the newest addition to the our Family. We narrowed it down to two cats and began to really get the story behind each one of them. Our decision was made. We loved a wonderful brown tiger cat named Henry.
On October 3, 2012 Henry was hit by a car. He was brought to the Humane Society by a Good Samaritan after being hit. We do not have the detailed reports from CSU Vet Hospital, but he was treated for a broken jaw and an injury to his right front leg. As you read the summary reports we received today, it is clear that the fact that this little guy is sitting in our house right now is truly a miracle. Things such as wired jaw, possible amputation, not eating are all turned very quickly to responding to treatment, eating soft food, no break found. He spent a month and a half with his jaw wired, recovered from the leg injury and is now fine.
So, as we look at our little animal family we have found that although we do not pick them out for this reason, God seems to bless us with these little guys who keep overcoming the odds and end up being a blessing to us.
Welcome to the family Henry!!!
