As a Mom I often sit and wonder what is the best thing to do for my child. What a wide spread thought. There are so many ways to think of this. Do I buy carrots or chips? Do I buy Nike or Reebok? Do I scold or be easy on punishment? Do we talk about this or that? Do I defend like a Mama Bear or teach her to stand on her own. So many questions. It's no wonder that we, as Mom's, are so tired at the end of day. Now all that being said, my question for this post was, "How do I do something special for my daughter for Valentines Day that let's her know she is loved and cherished?"
The answer came from my Mom. You see, my mother has discovered Pinterest. This is a world that I will not take on because I know just how dangerous it could be for me. However, I loved it when my Mom sent me an idea for a door covered in hearts that all said something positive about the person. I thought this was perfect.
So, I set out to cut up hearts and began to think. I asked for Grandparents/Aunts/Uncles/Step-dad's input also. In the end I had so much fun doing this for Paityn. I realize that we all can use a visual reminder of how we are cherished.
Paityn, someday if you sit and read this I want you to know just how loved you are. You bring so much joy to my life. I can't think of any other child I would rather parent. You provide moments of challenge, but the rewards of having you in my life are more then you could ever know. Corbin and I love you and thank God for our opportunity to watch you turn into the beautiful young lady you are becoming. I love you Boo Boo Rylee!
The finished product.
