So, this is a bit late, but I couldn't miss the opportunity to post about our family vacation to Arizona in January.
This is the first "Family Vacation" that Corbin, Paityn and I have had the chance to take. We joked about what an adventure it would be. In the end it was SO much fun to have the time not only together, but with more family. This was the first time Corbin met any of my extended family. I do believe that if nothing else he figured out a few reasons for the way I am. How about why I am such a messy cook. Watching my father in the kitchen answered that question.
We started our trip at the ridiculous hour of 3am. I think that I need my brain checked for booking tickets that left DIA at 6:05. Although it was a rough start to be up and on the road so early, it really was great to allow the extra time together with family when we arrived. We did a similar thing for the way home and didn't land in Denver until after 10pm. Again, maybe need my brain checked.
The purpose of this trip was to celebrate my Dad's 60th Birthday, my brothers 30th birthday and that Tom just graduated from college. GO TOM!!! The trip included things like an afternoon of rocket shooting (Paityn and Corbin won as far as being able to get the rocket to land the closest to all of us), fresh grapefruit to eat right off the tree, Bella climbing on everyone's lap the moment you would sit still long enough for her to, Family Birthday Celebration, birthday cakes, homemade eclairs, sibling time, and overall just a relaxing time with my family.
